[F500] brake systems

    Bob,
I have an older MkV/ QRE car that has a good, well balanced 4 wheel brake set up on it now. But since I am completely rebuilding the entire car I want to update to the new billet Dynalite calipers. And buying only 3 would be cheaper than 4. But I do not want to do this if it means changing my rear axle and cannister setups. If the rotor diameter is not to big I can keep my present axle setup.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  Mike,

I know QRE did a 4 piston caliper and thick vended rotor on Claire Smith's Raptor F500. It is a Solo II car that does see some track time. And we do use the brakes a lot, but just use the Solo pads or the Hawk pads in between the road race and Solo II one's that heat up quicker!

I am now getting ready to replace brake lines and calipers on my car. Any of you guys that are using only one brake on the rear axle, I would like to know about rotor diameter and thickness on such setups and also whether you utilize a 2 or 4 piston caliper in such a setup ?
            Thanks,
                Michael Runyan
