Roger,

Welcome to the F500 fraternity. I to used to race in a straight line, a
long time ago. After the thrill of actual competition wore off, the hour
spent in line to race for 15 seconds, just didn't seem like fun anymore.
Discovered road racing back in the early 60's and have been hooked since.
Only recently have I had the resources to actually compete in F500 road
racing. I think that for the lap times these cars turn verses the money
spent on them that F500 is the best bargain around.

You may want to start looking for a car, but I would suggest that you spend
a season crewing for someone running a F500 car as this is the best way to
learn the ropes.
