[F500] Hello from a Noob

John,

Gene near Seattle here, and you pretty much described me (except for 
thee teacher part.)  I'm turning 50 next year and just got my F500 on 
Easter Day.  I autocrossed it this year and will go road racing next.  
More than anything, it's the people who make this thee class to be in; 
I found the Formula Vee group as cliqueish as High School and the 
Formula Ford folks not very friendly; but the F500 gang treated me like 
family from the start.

Find someone near you and crew for them for a bit, then start looking 
for a car - but make sure you fit into it.  :-)
