[F500] 3" Rubber Pucks

Thank you, Jay, for your response.  I have some questions:
 
1. Will this help dampening against the pogo stick bounce over ripples?  If not, what will? 
2. The longer the rubber cylinder the more it will bulge out the sides when compressed, so how much space should there be between the cylinder side and the cannister side with no force on the rubber? 
 
Whatever else that you may contribute will be helpful in understanding this proposal.
