Interesting Jeff,
Various people tried to set up courses out here that were wide open
enough to allow a Z06 or similar car beat me. Its never happened, not
even PAX wise.
But then again, the very top guys in the country in SS aren't local
here. Ones that can break into the top 6 to 15 at Nationals, maybe ,
but that's about it.
If this Stewart guy beat top notch F500 cars and some top notch Z06's
then that is one quick car and driver.....and it may say something
about the course as well.
If one takes a course design to the "open" limit and makes it just a
single straight, sheer HP to # and AWD are sure to win. That Porsche
ought to beat Cheng's AM car.
I can see a high end Super Stock car being capable of mid to high 10's
in a quarter mile.
