[F500] Great race today

With all due respect. I expect F1 teams choreograph their pit stops and
practice them 'endlessly'. I also expect that a part of the
choreography is when the fueler begins the actions of disengaging the
fuel rig the lollypop guy give the 'go' sign. If the lollypop waits
until the fuel rig is fully detached, a second or more is added to the
pit stop. It is somewhat like line play in a football game, you go on
the snap count with every 'step' of the play choreographed for the
pulling guard to make his move and lead the ball carrier around the end.
When the choreography works, the play works and no one takes any
exceptions to the 'corners' that were cut expecting particular actions
to occur. The same with this pit stop, only the expected action -
fueler smoothly removing the fuel rig did not occur - when that happens
everyone looks like the fool.

I can just imagine what Gil said to the "lollipop" man about his
signaling Jensen to go before the fuel hose was disconnected and then
of course hitting Jensen on the head with it when he tried to get him
to stop. Certainly had the potential to be far worse than it was.
Shows the foresight that Ferrari have shown in having the back side
of the lollipop being a convex mirror so that the driver too can see
what is going on behind him while stopped. Anyone notice if any of
the other teams have a mirror on their lollipop too?
